Everything in moderation…

You have heard this a thousand times.  It’s true.  You can enjoy a meal at your favorite fast food restaurant or a Blizzard at Dairy Queen if you want, as long as it is the exception and not the rule. If you eat balanced, portion controlled meals on a regular basis, there is nothing wrong with “indulging” every now and then.

The reason, in theory that packaged meal plans like Nutri-System, Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers work, is because when used correctly they offer balanced portioned controlled meals.  The problem is, you are not learning how to eat right, so once you stop eating these meals, you put the weight back on and then some.

It is important to take the time and educate yourself on eating right.  There is plenty of information on the internet and countless books available.  Look past all the fad diets and just take the time to do it right. In the long run, you will be much happier.

Remember proper nutrition, exercise and adequate sleep everyday are the keys to a healthy lifestyle.
